A Living Lab is a participatory research method widespread across Europe: solutions aren't designed in a lab, but together with real users, in real settings.
Zeytince has applied this method in its Horizon Europe projects since 2022 — because the best ideas are built together, in the field, not at a desk.

We shaped the carbon footprint app and its 100 sustainable living tips together with İzmir residents, across six sessions built around co-design, shared needs and user experience.

Co-designing alternative proteins
We tested alternative protein sources on the ground at the Urla West Shop, together with producers and consumers.
Like-A-Pro is a Horizon Europe project that aims to move alternative proteins from a niche choice into the mainstream. Zeytince runs the project’s living labs in Türkiye, in Urla and Karaburun, bringing alternative proteins to the table through gatherings such as Table Talks.
